Special vaccination drive held for Judges, Advocates and UoM staff

Mysore/Mysuru: Judges, Advocates, Court staff, teaching and non-teaching staff of University of Mysore took vaccination against COVID-19 pandemic in special camps held yesterday.  

Following request from Mysuru Bar Association, the District Health Department had organised a special vaccination drive in workplace in which around 150 persons including Judges, Advocates and Court staff, took the jab. 

A special vaccination centre was created in Court premises where doctors and nurses administered vaccine. None of them showed any side-effects. 

Bar Association President S. Anandkumar, Secretary B. Shivanna, former Secretary K.B. Suresh and others were present. 

University staff

In another special camp, 181 teaching and non-teaching staff of University of Mysore took vaccination in the wake of spike in Corona positive cases.

The camp was held at the Health Centre in Maharaja’s College premises here yesterday. Those above 45 years of age  took the vaccine, said Prof. R. Shivappa, Registrar of the Varsity.

He said vaccination did not have any side-effects on anyone. Another round of inoculation will be organised next week, Prof. Shivappa said.
