Mysuru: City’s Hindustan College, a unit of Hindustan Group of Institutions, hosted SPECTRA-2025 — Dr. K.C.G. Verghese Memorial Inter-Collegiate Trophy and a National-level Inter-Collegiate Management, IT and Cultural Fest recently.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from 705 students representing 51 Colleges across the country. The fest was inaugurated by Dr. Mantilingu, Director, College Development Council, University of Mysore. In his inaugural address, he said, “Interdisciplinary knowledge, skill-based learning and a competitive spirit are essential in shaping future leaders.”
He commended Hindustan College for organising this grand event that integrates management, technology and cultural excellence under one platform.

SPECTRA featured a wide array of competitions providing students with opportunity to showcase their leadership, strategic thinking, artistic skills and creativity. The events included Innothon, HR event, Best Manager, Marketing Challenge, Finance Competition and an Aero Quest.
The non-core events showcased students’ diverse talents through mesmerising dance performances, vocal and instrumental music competitions, expressive mime acts and creative fashion displays. Participants also engaged in thrilling treasure hunts that tested problem-solving abilities, demonstrated physical prowess in the Muscle Mania competition and delivered witty performances during the stand-up comedy segment.
Speaking at the valedictory ceremony, chief guest Dr. M. Dharma Prasad, CEO & Chief Scientist at Prosetta Bioconformatics Pvt. Ltd. and Convenor of CII Mysore Chapter – Institute Interaction and Higher Education Panel, said, “Students must embrace innovation and leadership to succeed in today’s world. Developing skills aligned with evolving industry landscapes is crucial for your future careers”.
Prakash, Senior Regional Manager of Indian Overseas Bank, Mysuru, was the guest of honour.
A total prize pool of Rs. 1 lakh was distributed among winners and runners-up across events with RNS College, Bengaluru, bagging the overall championship and Sapient College, Mysuru, being the Overall Runner-Up. All participants were awarded certificates in recognition of their enthusiasm and efforts.
