Sports meet for Scribes in city from tomorrow

Mysuru: The Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) will be hosting a two-day annual sports meet for Journalists at the University of Mysore (UoM) football grounds in city from tomorrow (June 16 and 17).

Well-known shooter Rakshita Shastry will inaugurate the meet at 8 am tomorrow (June 16).

MDJA President C.K. Mahendra will preside. National-level Volleyball player Kumari Honey will be the  guest of honour.

The valedictory will take place at 2.30 pm on June 17 (Sunday). Chamaraja MLA L. Nagendra will be the chief guest. UoM Physical Education Director Dr. P. Krishnaiah and Cauvery Hospital MD Dr. Chandrashekar will be the chief guests on the occasion, according to a press release from MDJA General Secretary K.J. Lokesh Babu.
