Spotted Deer rescued at Periyapatna

A Spotted Deer, which was found in the premises of Pushpa English Medium School in Periyapatna town today, was rescued by the Forest Department staff with the help of the Police and the public. The deer, which escaped from the school premises, ran helter-skelter on the main roads of the town injuring itself and was finally captured. It was treated by Dr. Madhusudan at the Government Veterinary Hospital and the Forest staff led by RFO Girish, released it back to the forest. It is said that the deer had strayed from Anechowkur Forest near the town.
