We preferred to take shelter under trees and temples during afternoon and speed up in the evenings, though we didn’t travel during night time. Enroute, we gathered information about the culture, food and other habits, public life and habitat of the people of various States.”

Dr. Brinda Suhas Godhi, a member of the team and Reader, Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry, JSS Dental College, said she also took the opportunity to create awareness about oral hygiene during the cycling expedition.

“We shared information about oral hygiene among the truck drivers, school children, street vendors and others along with creating awareness on oral cancer,” she added.

Mentor cyclist Vinay Singh acknowledged the help extended by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) team during traffic congestion at Kashmir.

“They provided us escort vehicle and ensured zero traffic. Such timely help will become very handy for those who aim for special achievements,” he added.
