Sreenivasa Prasad not happy with three Dy. CMs posts

Mysuru:  The three Deputy Chief Ministers (Dy.CMs) named to work alongside Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa yesterday along with portfolios allocated to 17 Ministers, has not gone down well with many members in the BJP and MP V. Sreenivasa Prasad is also cut up about it.

Addressing a press conference at a private hotel here this morning, he said that the idea of three Deputy Chief Ministers is totally wrong and it will send wrong signals. The BJP Government was formed after the support of the disqualified members in the previous coalition Government.

After this it was totally wrong on the part of the high command to suggest three Dy. CMs, he said.

Earlier, reacting to the question about his take on internal reservations which he claimed he had never said at a seminar on ‘One Century of Reservation – Since the time of Mysore Kings’ organised at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Research and Extension Centre, Manasagangothri recently, he claimed that he had never spoken about internal reservation  but it was wrongly reported in a section of the media that he had spoken about it.

All he had said was that he had spoken about Reservation as a concept found in the Constitution and though it is meant for SC/ST and it has been there since the last 70 years, the concept had weakened now.

Reservations should be meant for those from the socially and economically poor background and from the Minority communities. A discussion on this has to be  held at the national level and a report must be presented to the Government, but I had not spoken about internal reservation at all, he reiterated.
