Mysuru: Senior BJP leader and former Minister V. Sreenivasa Prasad has slammed JD(S) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda for promoting his grandsons –Nikhil Kumaraswamy and Prajwal Revanna.
Speaking after inaugurating the BJP Shakti Kendra Pramukhs meet at J.K. Grounds here yesterday, Sreenivasa Prasad said that the former PM has given green signal for one grandson Nikhil Kumaraswamy to contest from Mandya and another grandson Prajwal Revanna to contest from Hassan in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, while completely ignoring other deserving JD(S) leaders.
Wondering whether Nikhil and Prajwal could become able parliamentarians, Sreenivasa Prasad also chided the JD(S) supremo, saying that although Deve Gowda commands respect, he has lost trust among people.
Lashing out at former CM Siddharamaiah, Prasad said the arrogance of Siddharamaiah proved his downfall in Chamundeshwari, which he lost by huge margin of 36,000 votes in the May 2018 Assembly polls.
