Ganabharathi, Mysuru, has organised music competitions on account of Krishna Jayanti Utsava 2024 at Veene Seshanna Bhavana, Adichunchanagiri Road, Kuvempunagar, Mysuru, on Aug. 25 from 9 am onwards. The competitions are open to young amateur artistes who have not yet completed the Vidwat level examinations in music. Competitions will be in: 1. Karnatak music (Vocal & Instrumental); 2. Percussion instruments; 3. Singing of Vachanas; 4. Manku Thimmana Kagga singing; 5. Dasara Padagalu singing; 6. Written essay and quiz related to music.

Competition will be held for: 8 to 15 years (Juniors); 16 to 25 years (Seniors), 26 to 40 years; 41 years and above. Application forms will be available at Ganabharathi office till Aug. 14 during office hours (5 pm to 7 pm). The last date to submit filled-in applications is Aug. 14.
