Over 2,000 devotees from Mysuru to participate
Mysuru: With the slogan ‘Namma Nade Ramanujara Kadege,’ Sri Ramanuja Vishwa Vijayotsava has been organised at Tripura Vasini premises, Bangalore Palace Ground, tomorrow.
Convener of the Vijayotsava Committee Yoganarasimha (Murali), offered puja at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple on Kalidasa Road in the city yesterday, wishing for the success of the event.
Chanting of vedic hymns as part of Vijayotsava will begin with the blowing of 108 conches. The programme will be led by Sri Yadugiri Yathiraja Ramanuja Jeeyar, under the aegis of Akhila Karnataka Sri Vaishnava Mahasabha. As a prelude, religious rituals will be conducted as per Sri Vaishnava tradition.
Yoganarasimha said, the Mahasabha is in the forefront of finding suitable solutions for the grievances related to Sri Vaishnava community, by bringing them to the notice of the Government. The Mahasabha intends to bring all the sub-sects under one roof towards achieving academic progress.
Over 2,000 devotees from Mysuru and more than 80,000 from various nook and corner of the State will be participating in the programme.
President of Priests Association Vidwan Krishnamurthy, General Secretary of Mysuru District Brahmins Yuva Vedike Vikram Iyengar, Chakrapanai, Balaji, Anand, Shantharam and Parthasarathy were present.
