Sri Shivarathreeshwara Shivayogi Mahaswamiji’s 1059th Jayanti Mahotsav in Shivamogga from Jan.4

Mysuru: Adijagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Shivayogi Mahaswamiji’s 1059th Jayanti Mahotsav will be held from Jan.4 to 10 at Jagajyothi Basaveshwara Anubhava Mantapa in Shivamogga.

Ceremonial Procession

The idol of Adi Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Shivayogi Mahaswamiji, which arrives on the evening of Jan.3 from Suttur Srikshetra, will be received at MRS Circle and placed at Bekkina Kalmatha, Shivamogga. On Jan.4, the procession of the Idol will start from Jail Circle at 9 am and will proceed through Sangolli Rayanna Road and arrives at Anubhava Mantapa. At 10.30 am, hoisting of Shatsthala Flag, inauguration of Entrance Arches, Mantapa and Vedike.

Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr. D. Vereendra Heggade will inaugurate the Mahotsav at 6 pm. BJP State President B.S. Yeddyurappa will preside.

The week-long Mahotsav will feature sessions on ‘Women: New Avenues of Development’, ‘Awareness Opportunities for the Youth’, ‘Agriculture: Land – Water’, ‘Environmental Protection: Challenges & Possibilities’, ‘Health is Wealth.’

A galaxy of Seers, Ministers from State and Central Governments, former Chief Ministers, MLAs, MPs, MLCs, other elected representatives, littérateurs, educationists and experts from various fields will take part in the week-long programme.

On the concluding day (Jan.10) at 10 am, a ceremonial procession of the Idol of Adi Jagadguruji will be taken out. Valedictory will be held at 6 pm. Sri Siddheshwara Swamiji of Jnanayogashrama, Vijayapura, will deliver the valedictory address.
