Sri Vasudeva Maharaj Sadbhavana Awards presented to achievers

Mysuru: Stating that there is an element of divinity in every human being, veteran Sanskrit scholar Dr. H.V. Nagaraj Rao said  however, it comes out glaringly only in a few.

He was speaking at the 19th Sri Vasudeva Maharaj Aradhana Mahotsava organised by the city’s Vasudeva Maharaj Foundation at Avani Sringeri Mutt in Vidyaranyapuram here recently.

“We can attain divinity if we give up our weaknesses such as anger, jealousy, greed etc. Engaging with Satsanga, parayanas, meditation, spirituality  and leading a life embodying all these values, will help in correcting our internal flaws”, Nagaraj Rao said.

Senior Science writer S. Ramprasad inaugurated the programme and also spoke. On the occasion, noted columnist Dr. H.V. Nagaraj Rao (Sanskrit), K.R. Yoganarasimhan (Religious service), Dr. S. Kavya (Ayurveda Practise) and K.L. Purushottam  (International Yoga trainer) were conferred with ‘Sri Vasudeva Maharaj Sadbhavana’ award.

Vidushi Dr. K. Leela Prakash, Kannada Sahitya Kala Koota President M. Chandrashekar, Foundation President M.V. Nagendra Babu (Banter Babu), Chief Convenor N. Anantha, Harshavardhan and others were present.
