‘Sri Vasudeva Namana’ event by Surabhi Ganakala Mandira

KR MLA to inaugurate development works  at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha

Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha has organised ‘Sri Vasudeva Namana’ by Surabhi Ganakala Mandira, Mysuru, to pay tributes to the celebrated Karnatak music composer ‘Sangeetha Kalanidhi’ Mysore K. Vasudevacharya at its premises on JLB Road at 6 pm on his birth anniversary on May 28.

The programme will showcase the compositions of Acharya in various formats of the genre by presenting them on stage by the disciples of Vidu. Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar (Managing Trustee of Surabhi Ganakala Mandira), accompanied by Vidu. C.V. Shruthi on violin and Vid. Nandan Kashyap on mridanga.

The event will also throw light on the life and achievements of Acharya and his views on classical music and its guiding principles through voices of distinguished persons. The concept and direction is by Dr. Sukanya while dialogues are penned by Vidu. Lalitha Srinivasan.

On the occasion, Krishnaraja MLA T.S. Srivatsa will dedicate to the public, the developmental works undertaken in the Sabha by the MLA’s grants. Sabha President T.R. Harish will preside and felicitate the MLA.
