Mysore/Mysuru: Sriman Nyayasudha Mangala Mahotsava, organised jointly by Sri Vyasaraja Mutt (Sosale) and Sri Vyasateertha Vidyapeeta was inaugurated at the Vidyapeetha premises in Krishnamurthypuram here on June 2.
The event is the official beginning of Sriman Nyayasudha Examination of Soumithri, Sughosha, Pranava and Shreesha, the four students, who have completed their studies in gurukula system of education under the supervision of Sri Vyasaraja Mutt (Sosale) Pontiff Sri 1008 Sri Vidyashritheertha Swamiji.
This being a test of knowledge, oral interpretation of Nyayasudha scripture, Sughosha and Pranava took the exam on the first day. Sughosha received appreciation from the scholars for answering the questions posed by scholars related to ‘Tatparyachandrika’ scripture. Similarly, Pranava also received accolades for efficiently answering to questions related to ‘Navilakshanatwadikarana’ from Sriman Nyayasudha scripture. The remaining two students faced the examination on Monday.
Mantralaya Sri Raghavendra Swami Mutt Pontiff Sri Subudhendrateertha Sripada Swamiji, who graced the occasion, delivered a discourse. Stating that knowledge had acceptance across the globe, Sri Subudhendrateertha Swamiji said the students of Sri Vyasateertha Vidyapeeta had researched well under the guidance of Sri Vidyashritheertha Swamiji.
The examinations is being held in presence of scholars such as Mahamahopadhyaya Raja S. Giri of Mantralaya, Guru Sarvabauma Vidyapeetha Principal Vadiraja Acharya, Srinivasamurthy Archarya, Pandit Matarishwacharya, Professor at Pejawara Vidyapeetha in Bengaluru; Vyasateertha Vidyapeetha Hon. Secretary Dr. D.P. Madhusudhanacharya among others.
The examinations will be held till June 7 followed by Sahasra Chandradarshana Shanthi by Sri Vidyashritheertha Swamiji from June 7 to June 9 at Vittaladhama in JP Nagar. Various other spiritual programmes have also been planned till June 10. Senior Scholar Sheshagiri Acharya delivered the keynote address. Sri Vyasateerta Peeta Principal Srinidhi Acharya compeered.
