SSLC exam from tomorrow Prohibitory orders clamped around exam centres

Mysuru:  The SSLC exam (2018-19) conducted by the State Government will be held at 138 centres across the district, including 46 in city, starting from tomorrow. The exam will conclude on April 4.

Out of the 138 centres in the district, 71 are Government, 31 aided and 36 unaided High Schools.

A total of 36,463 students (18,283 boys and 18,180 girls) from 647 High Schools in the district (257 Government, 126 aided and 264 unaided) have registered for the SSLC exam (2018-19). Apart from these registered students, 636 are appearing as private students and 2,074 as repeaters (1,498 boys and 576 girls).

The exam will be held between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm.

The exam will commence with first language paper (Kannada, Hindi, Urdu, English, Sanskrit, Tamil, Marati, Telugu) tomorrow and will end with third language paper on April 4 (Hindi, Kannada, English, Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Sanskrit, Konkani, Tulu), according to Nodal Officer Rajashekar who also said that three Vigilance Squads have been formed at the district level and one in every Taluk, for smooth and fair conduct of the exam.

Prohibitory orders clamped around exam centres

Meanwhile, the City Police have clamped prohibitory orders as per Section 35 of Karnataka Police Act, 1963 in 200 meter radius of all exam centres in the city.

The prohibitory orders will be in effect from 6 am to 6 pm on all exam dates. All photocopy shops in the vicinity of the centres have been asked to shut down. Tight Police security will be provided at all centres and barring examinee students and exam staff, no unauthorised person will be allowed entry to the exam centres.
