St. Joseph’s Central School students excel in letter writing competition

Mysore/Mysuru: Asfiya Samreen and Khushi, Class 10 students of St. Joseph’s Central School, Vijayanagar, Mysuru, have bagged first and third prize at Zonal-level in the 52nd International Letter Writing Competition for young people conducted by Universal Postal Union-2023 recently. The contest was on the topic “Imagine you are a super hero and your mission is to make all roads around the world safer for children”, explaining about the super power one needs to achieve this mission.

Asfiya Samreen and Khushi received a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively along with a citation from Governor of Karnataka Thaawarchand Gehlot at a ceremony in Bengaluru on Jan. 8.

 Asfiya Samreen has won first place even at National-level for the same event. She will be awarded a prize of Rs. 50,000 along with a certificate and memento at a later date, according to the School Principal.
