Mysore/Mysuru: St. Philomena’s College (Autonomous),  Mysuru,  celebrated World Earth Day on Apr. 22 with a series of initiatives aimed at raising awareness and promoting environmental conservation.

Under the guidance of Rev.  Fr. Bernard Prakash Barnis, the Rector, the institution  conducted day-long activities on the significance of protecting our planet.

The celebration commenced with an enlightening session by Dr. B. Shyla, Assistant Professor of PG Chemistry, who elucidated the importance of observing  World Earth Day and the collective responsibility of safeguarding our environment for future generations.

Around 500 students took part in an awareness rally that traversed through the four primary junctions encircling the College premises in Bannimantap.
