St. Rossello’s and St. Joseph’s emerge winners of Apollo ‘Heart Health’ Quiz 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: To spread awareness on ‘Heart Health,’ Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru, had organised a quiz competition as part of ‘World Heart Day’ for school and college students of city recently.

About 500 students from 19 schools and 15 colleges participated in the preliminary round organised at the respective schools out of which top 6 schools reached the grand finale.

This competition was organised at Rani Bahaddur Auditorium in Manasagangothri campus. RJ Deepak, Dr. Veenu, Consultant Cardiologist and Apollo BGS Hospitals hosted the quiz competition.

The winners in Class 10 category are as follows:

1st prize: Sushmita M. Patgar and N.L. Manjunath of St.Rossello’s Central School won Rs. 10,000 cash prize; 2nd prize: Dhanya Mittal and Sameera Faiza of Delhi Public School won Rs. 7,500 cash prize; 3rd prize: G.S. Hemisha Prasad and and J. Prajna of Marimallappa School won Rs. 5,000 cash prize.

Class 12 category

1st prize: M. Sayed Adil Sameer and P. Yashaswini of St. Joseph’s College won Rs. 10,000 cash prize; Second Prize: Umme Hani and Amulya Divakar of Marimallappa PU College won Rs. 7,500 cash prize; Third prize: Vibhu S. Murthy and Nayana of JSS PU College won Rs. 5,000 cash prize.

 N.G. Bharateesha Reddy, Vice-President and Unit Head of Apollo BGS Hospitals, said, “We have been striving to treat cardiovascular patients in city with timely care through our dedicated team of cardiologists and by offering comprehensive services with state-of-the-art technology and a highly skilled Cardiologist Team round the clock. There is a need for awareness on heart health among the youths and this event is our social responsibility to reach out to people with the rising problems                                 of cardiovascular.”

Dr. Arun Srinivas, Chief Cardiologist from Apollo BGS Hospitals stressed the need for healthy lifestyles and the importance of diet, exercise and prevention of obesity. Dr. Veenu also spoke. Dr. Aman Nayak, Medical Superintendent, Apollo Hospitals, Mysuru, students, faculty and parents                                             were present.
