Stabbing incident at Social Club in Hebbal: Police intensify investigation

Mysore/Mysuru: Hebbal Police, who have registered cases against former Deputy Mayor and three others following stabbing during a party at a Social Club in Hebbal Industrial Area on Sunday night, which left two persons injured, have intensified their investigation.

Based on the complaint from injured Sujith Kumar, Hebbal Inspector K.R. Prasad had registered cases against former Deputy Mayor Arjun Kumar and three others.

The Cops, who have intensified their investigation, have collected CCTV footages of cameras installed in the Club, besides obtaining statements of the Club Manager, staff and guests. The Police have also recorded the statements of injured Sujith Kumar, who is undergoing treatment at a hospital and another injured person Rajakeeya Ravi.

According to Sujith Kumar’s statements, he has alleged that Arjun Kumar and his friends picked up a fight over an issue and assaulted. Though we tried to calm down the situation, they used unparliamentary language, which flared up others, Sujith added.

As the fight broke out, the guests left the party one by one and the incident was committed by a few persons who were left behind, Sujith said and added that as he and another person were injured, they were unable to prevent the incident.
