Mysore/Mysuru: Srikrishna Gana Sabha has arranged a drama Echhama Nayaka and Odissi dance on Dec. 24 and 25 at 6 pm at Alwar Kala Bhavan, Gokulam in city.
Dec. 24: The play Echhama
Nayaka will be staged by Rangananda Kala Sangha in memory of Byadarahalli Subbaraje Urs. It is sponsored by B.S. Sridhara Raje Urs. Drama will be enacted and directed by Ranga Ratna Rangaswamy. A highly devoted artiste, he joined Government service as Drama Teacher in 1988 after completing diploma in Dramatics at Fine Arts College, Manasagangothri in 1982. Then he established Rangananda Kala Sangha and directed/staged more than 25 plays with over 400 shows. Notable among them are “Echamma Nayaka”, “Dhana Shoora Karna”, “Sangolli Rayanna”, “Kumara Rama”, “Jalagara”, “Samrat Ashoka”.He is a recipient of many awards including “Kalavallabha.”
Rotary Club of Mysore West President Rtn. Ullas Pandit will inaugurate. Sabha President B.S. Sridhara Raje Urs will preside.
Dec. 25: Odissi dance will be presented by Sindhu Kiran in memory of Smt. S.R. Kumudha sponsored by Kumudha Memorial Trust. Trust President Nanda Kumar will be inaugurate the event.
