Mysore/Mysuru: City- based amateur theatre group Rangavalli Mysuru, in association with the Department of Kannada and Culture, will be staging the comedy play ‘Parameshi Prema Prasanga’ on May 17 (Sunday) at Kiru Rangamandira in Kalamandira premises at 6.30 pm. The play written by Srinivas Prabhu is directed by Raviprasad.
‘Parameshi Prema Prasanga’ is a hilarious flow of comedy featuring a medley of characters which includes Parameshi, who struggles to win over Rashmi; Krishnoji, a staunch bachelor captivated by Shantaladevi’s eyes; Vyakularaya, who is determined to become a poet; Ambabai, who keeps her husband under her thumb; the forgetful Bhutanatha; the gluttonous Desai; a ‘gentleman’ ex-robber and Chenni, who can snatch a necklace in the blink of an eye.
Well-known stage designer H.K. Dwarakanath has designed the stage while lighting is by Madhu Neenasam, music management by Manju Mangala, make-up by C.V. Saritha and costumes by Hariprasad.
