BHASANGE Balaga’s 88th monthly programme
Mysuru/Mysore: City’s cultural organisation Bhanuvara Sanje Geleyara Balaga, popularly known as BHASANGE Balaga organises drama every January in memory of H.P. Ramasheshu, a noted stage artiste.
Continuing this tradition, the Balaga has organised a Kannada play Uchhistha written and directed by prominent Kannada TV serial actor, director, playwright and writer S.N. Sethuram on Sunday (Jan. 12) at 6pm at Vasudevacharya Bhavana of Nadabramha Sangeetha Sabha, JLB Road, Mysuru.
Uchhishta means “left overs”. This Kannada play Uchhishta is an effort to understand and appreciate the trials and tribulations of the young, burdened with the inheritance of “left overs”, a consequence of unethical life of the old. A society guided by law alone, devoid of ethics and morals, probably, can never be a civilised one.
Well-known for his crisp and sharp dialogues, Sethuram leaves the audience with deeply churned thoughts on what is right and what is not. The lead performers on stage include Sethuram, Varshini and Samanvitha.
BHASANGE Balaga welcomes all theatre enthusiasts to witness the play. Entrée for the show is free.
