Stamps and Registration Department Computer Operators to go on strike

Mysuru: Seeking fulfilment of their various demands, the outsourced computer operators of the Department of Stamps and Registration have decided to go on strike from Feb. 17.

Speaking to Star of Mysore, Karnataka State Stamps and Registration Department (Cauvery Project) Outsourced Computer Operators Association President H. Basavaraj said that the demands included payment of equal wages for equal work, payment of wage dues, payment of Overtime (OT) allowance etc.

Pointing out that the Association has presented many memorandums to the Chief Minister, Revenue Minister and top officials, seeking fulfilment of their demands, he said that the computer operators are forced to launch the strike from Feb.17 as their demands have not been met.

The other demands to the Government included filling up of vacancies in Revenue Department by appointment of outsourced Data Entry Operators and dropping of retrenchment plans of existing operators, Basavaraj added.
