Los Angeles:  Stan Lee, the colourful Marvel Comics’ patriarch who helped usher in a new era of superhero story-telling and the creator of Spiderman comics, died at the age of 95 on Nov. 12.

The illustrator, who started in the business in 1939, created Black Panther, Spiderman, X-Men, The Mighty Thor, Iron Man, The Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk, Daredevil, Ant-Man and other characters.

Star of Mysore has been publishing the comic strip of Spiderman regularly on Page-3 since about 35 years.

According to a report, an ambulance rushed to Lee’s Hollywood Hills home early Monday morning and Lee was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre where he breathed his last. The comic legend wasn’t keeping well for some time now and in the past one year, he has reportedly suffered from a number of illnesses including pneumonia.

Stan Lee is survived by his daughter Joan while his wife had passed away last year.
