Mysuru: SJCE Alumni Association and Department of Placement & Training in association with CII – Yi had organised a “StartUp Spirit – 2018” event recently to mark Engineers Day celebrations.
Prof. B.G. Sangameshwara, Vice-Chancellor, JSS Science and Technology University, who inaugurated the event, stressed on the changing scenario in the young minds to start up the ventures.
Highlighting the importance of taking up challenges when students are young, he briefed on the various facilities and support rendered by the University to start up their venture.
Dr. T.N. Nagabhushan, Principal, presided and spoke on the opportunities provided by the government to support the StartUps.
The event was coordinated by Dr. B.S. Harish, Coordinator, SJCE Alumni Association and Prof. M. Pradeep, Placement Officer of SJCE. SJCE Alumni entrepreneurs Amith Roushan, Founder, Play – o, Kamal Deo Prasad, Founder, PanOrbit and representatives from CII-Yi Chaitra Bharath, Founder, Phoenix Academy and Dr. Chaitra Narayan, Founder, CodaguAgritech, addressed the young minds of SJCE and students of other colleges. Later the speakers shared their experiences and challenges they encountered in starting their own StartUp.
