Mysuru: Akhila Karnataka Brahmana Mahasabha (AKBMS) has organised a State Brahmins’ conference on Dec.28 and 29 at Koteshwara in Kundapur taluk of Udupi District.
Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, District and City Brahmana Sangha President D.T. Prakash said that the conference will be inaugurated at 10 am on Dec.28 at Kalavara Vardaraj M. Shetty Government First Grade College Grounds by Sri Vidushekarabharathi Swamiji. Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa will be the chief guest.
Guruvandana will be offered at 10 am on Dec.29, a seminar with women participants at 2 pm followed by the valedictory at 4 pm. Deputy Chief Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwath Narayan and former CM H.D. Kumaraswamy will participate.
About one lakh people are likely to attend the conference with 3000 people from city, he said.
Leaders Raghuram, Sowbhagya Murthy, Apoorva Suresh, Vikram Iyengar and Balakrishna were present at the press meet.
