State Electrical Contractors Association superseded

September 15, 2025

Mysore/Mysuru: Taking note of serious irregularities, the State Government has superseded the Karnataka State Licensed Electrical Contractors Association, headquartered at No. 33, Avenue Road, Bengaluru, with immediate effect, and has appointed an Administrator.

The decision comes following multiple violations, including excessive and unjustified spending on functions, failure to produce vouchers and receipts for expenses, delay in holding polls and several serious breaches of the Association’s by-laws.

In the interest of protecting the decades-old Association, the Government appointed Dr. Suresh Gowda, Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies (Legal Cell), as the Administrative Officer. Dr. Suresh Gowda assumed charge on Sept. 8, taking over the administration of the Association.
