Mysuru: As part of National Voters Day Celebration, nine students who won prizes at district-level competitions, participated in State-level Essay and Poster writing competitions held at Zilla Panchayat auditorium.

While six students of various High School, Pre-University and Degree Colleges emerged winners in Kannada and English Essay writing competitions at the District-level, three students were declared winners in Poster writing contest.

SVEEP Assistant Krishna, who spoke on the occasion, said that District-level Essay and Posters competitions were held at Maharani’s College on Dec. 19.

Nine students who emerged as winners at District-level have got a chance to participate in the State-level competitions.

“Through these competitions, it is possible to create awareness among students about the significance and various dimensions of elections,” he added.

 Prizes will be given on National Voters Day (Jan.25).

High Schools Nodal Officer K.S. Devaraja, PU Colleges Nodal Officer Dr. S. Mangalamurthy,  Degree Colleges Nodal Officer Dr. Hemachandra and officials from Mysuru ZP were present.
