Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G. Sankar has said that the State–level Sports Meet of Government Employees will take place in the city at the end of January 2019.

Presiding over a preliminary meeting at his office on Thursday, the DC said that the three-day event has been tentatively scheduled to take place on Jan.27, 28 and 29. However, the dates will be confirmed after holding talks with the District Minister, he said and added that various Committees will be formed to oversee the preparations for this State-level Meet.

The DC directed the officials to come prepared for the next meeting that will be held next week. State Government Employees Association President H.K. Ramu, office-bearers Puttaswamy, Girigowda and Jambagi, MUDA Commissioner P.S. Kantharaju, Youth Services and Sports Joint Director Subhash, Assistant Directors K. Suresh and other officials were present.
