City’s SVG Group will be organising a three-day 4th State-level Kabaddi Tournament for Women and District-level Invitational Floodlight Kabaddi Tournament for Men.

Addressing the press persons at Pathrakarthara Bhavan, here yesterday, SVG Group Chairman M. Manjesh said that the tournament was being organised as a part of Deepavali and Sri Mahadeshwara Jathra Festival and also in memory of M.Shivakumar (Ayya).

MP Pratap Simha, MLA L. Nagendra, Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannanth will be present during the inauguration.

Teams from Kalaburagi, Belagavi, Dharwad, Davanagere, Mangaluru, Udupi, Bengaluru, Mandya and Mysuru will                    take part.

The organisers have made boarding and lodging facilities for the participating team. Separate prize money of Rs. 50,000 and trophy, Rs. 25,000 and trophy and Rs. 10,000 and trophies has been announced for first, second, third and fourth place winners in both men and women categories.
