Writer T. Satish Javaregowda has been unanimously selected as the President of the 26th State-level Kavi-Kavya Sammelana to be held on Nov. 24 at Gandhi Bhavan in Mandya under the aegis of Dr. Jishampa Sahitya Vedike, Mandya and Rajya Kavimithra Koota, Mandya. The Sammelana will be held in memory of Actor and former Minister late Ambarish. Profile: Satish Javaregowda is working as a teacher at Government Higher Primary School in Mellahalli, Mysuru taluk. He is also the Founder-President of Spandana Samskruthika Parishat, working President of Neladani Samskrutika Vedike and Hon.President of Mysuru District wing of Kendra Kannada Sahitya Vedike. He has won over 40 awards in education and literary sector.
