Mysuru: The city will host a two-day State-level meet of Akhila Bharatiya Sahitya Parishat on Dec.29 and 30.
Announcing this at a press meet here recently, Parishat General Secretary Raghunandan Bhat said the meet will take place at KSOU Campus in Manasagangothri. Pramoda Devi Wadiyar will inaugurate the meet at 10.30 am on Dec.29.
Infosys Foundation Chairperson Sudha Murty and Saraswati Samman Awardee Dr. S.L. Bhyrappa will be the chief guests. Parishat National General Secretary Dr. Rushi Kumar Mishra will deliver the keynote address. Senior writers Dr. C.P. Krishna Kumar, S.R. Leela and Thippeswamy will deliver talks on the subject “Indian Nativity in Literature.”
Veteran writer Dr. Hampa Nagarajaiah will chair a multi-lingual poets meet (Kavi Goshti) at 9 am on Dec. 30, in which poets from Tamil, Marathi, Malayalam and other languages will take part.
More than 3,000 representatives from across the country are expected to attend the two-day meet.
