Mysuru:  The Mysore District Cycling Association will be conducting the 14th State-level Mountain Bike (Cycling) Championship 2018-19 on Sept.8 and 9 near Lalitha Mahal Palace Helipad in city.

Announcing this at a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here  on Wednesday, Association Executive Committee Member Nagaraj Venugopal said that the events will be held in U-14, U-16, U-18, Men and Women categories and added that the championship is divided into Individual Time Trial and Mass Start (group race).

More than 250 cyclists, who will be selected in the District-level Championships, will be participating in the State-level event.

Meanwhile, Association Secretary Satish Babu, speaking to SOM said that the District-level Championship will be held on Sept. 2 at the same venue and the winners would be selected for State-level Championship.

The last date for registration for the District-level championship is Sept. 1. Those interested may register their names between 10 am and 5 pm at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in Nazarbad.
