State-level PU Volleyball Tournament for boys and girls of Pre-University Colleges will be held at St. Philomena’s College Sports Ground from Oct. 26 (tomorrow). The three-day tournament is jointly organised by the Department of Pre-University Education and St. Philomena’s PU College.

A total of 64 teams will participate, which comprises of 32 teams each of boys and girls categories. The tournament will be inaugurated by Rt. Rev. Dr. K. A. William, Bishop of Mysuru, tomorrow at 5 pm at the College Sports Ground. Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Tanveer Sait will preside.

Pre-University Board Director Shikha, Mysore Diocese Vicar General Very Rev. Fr. Rayappa, Episcopal Vicar Rev. Fr. Leslie Moras, MDES Secretary Rev. Fr. Vijay Kumar and St. Philomena’s Degree Rector/Manger Rev. Fr. Bernard Prakash Barnis will be the Chief Guests. International Volleyball Player Nishya Joseph, DDPU V.R. Shyamala and Mysore District Principals’ Association President Mohan will be the Guests of Honour.

The valedictory will be held on Oct. 28 at 3.30 pm at the same venue.
