State-level Senior Men’s Kho Kho Championship – 2026: Raichur emerges champion, Mysuru runners-up

Mysuru: Team Raichur emerged as champions in the two-day State-level Senior Kho Kho Championship – 2026 for Men jointly organised by Karnataka Amateur Kho Kho Association (KAKKA) and Mysuru District Amateur Kho Kho Association (MDAKKA) in memory of late N. Prakash, former President of KAKKA at Vivekananda Grounds in Kuvempunagar, here yesterday.

In the finals, Raichur defeated Mysuru 18-16 to lift coveted trophy. In semi-finals, Raichur defeated Dharwad 15-13 and Mysuru overcame Chamarajanagar 14-12 to enter the finals. Both Dharwad and Chamarajanagar were awarded joint third place.

In the individual awards, Kiran from Raichur was declared as  Best Defender, Gagan from Mysuru as Best Attacker and Shivappa from Raichur as Best All-Rounder.

Prizes to winners distributed by District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa. MDAKKA President Nagaraj V. Bairy, Additional DC Dr. P. Shivaraju, former MLA M.K. Somashekar, senior journalist Amshi Prasanna Kumar, social worker AHINDA Javarappa and others were present.
