Mysuru: The two-day State-level Shuttle Badminton Tournament for under-19 boys and girls jointly organised by Department of Public Instructions and Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala will be held from Oct. 15 at the Vidyashala premises in Yadavagiri here.

Department of Public Instructions Director Sindhu Roopesh, Ramakrishna Ashram President Swami Muktidanandaji,  Vidyashala Correspondent Swami Yukteshanandaji, Department of Public Instructions Assistant Director (Sports) Dr. C.G. Ramesh and Deputy Director (PU) M. Mariswamy will be the chief guests for the inaugural event.

Shuttlers from 33 districts will be taking part in the event for which boarding and lodging facilities will be provided by the organisers. While the tournament will be held at Manasagangothri indoor stadium for boys, the matches for girls will be held at Maharaja’s College indoor stadium. The tournament is also the selection for shuttlers for the State team.

The valedictory and prize distribution will be held on Oct. 16 at 3 pm  at Manasagangothri Indoor Stadium.
