Mysuru District Softball Association (MDSA), Mysuru, is organising the 2nd Edition of Mysuru State-level Softball Men & Women League 2019 on Mar.21 and 22 at University of Mysore Sports Pavilion in city.
The players auction was done on Mar.13 and 14 in Dospess Seminar Hall. More than 186 Men and 122 Women Players who had registered online were auctioned. Dr. H.N. Bhaskar, PE Director, SBRR Mahajana FGC, conducted the auction.
Four Men teams and four Women teams, comprising 15 players per team, were formed and team owners enthusiastically participated in the process. In all, 126 Men and 62 Women players remained unsold.
The League Matches will be inaugurated on Mar.21 at 9.30 am in University of Mysore Sports Pavilion Grounds by Greenidge D. Cunha, Captain of Indian Handball team in Asian Games at Indonasia.
Dr. P. Krishnaiah, Director, Department of Physical Education, University of Mysore, will preside over the function.
The participating teams are: Men Section — 1. Blazing Warriors; 2. Mysore Tigers; 3. Malnad Strikers and 4. Debut Challengers; Women Section —1. Mysuru Maharanis; 2. Queen Bees; 3. Diamond Divas and 4. Wonder Girls.
