The Karnataka State Government Employees Association (KSGEA) and Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports (DYES) have jointly organised State-level Sports Meet and Cultural Competitions for all the State Government staff at Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru from May 30 to June 1.
Over 10,000 sportsmen are expected to take part in the Sports Meet which will be inaugurated by CM Basavaraj Bommai on May 30 at 4 pm in the presence of various Ministers and MLAs. All the participants will be provided track suit and cap. Winners will be provided mementos. Winners of All India Civil Services Tournament will be felicitated on the occasion.
On May 30 at 6 pm, there will be a music concert by well-known playback singer Vijay Prakash of ‘Jai Ho’ fame. On May 31 at 6 pm, there will be cultural programmes from folk troupes sponsored by Kannada and Culture Department, according to a press release from KSGEA District President J. Govindaraju.
