Mysore/Mysuru: The 25th State-level Volleyball Tournament for men and women will be held in Mysuru from Jan. 25 to 29 at the University of Mysore Sports Pavilion.

Announcing this at a press meet here recently, Mysuru District Volleyball Association Executive President Prof. M. Chandrakumar said that the five-day tournament is being organised under the aegis of Karnataka State Volleyball Association.

Pointing out that only one team from every district can take part, he said that 30 men teams and 20 women teams, which collectively comprise about a thousand Volleyball players, will be taking part. There will be four prizes in both the categories. About 16 to 20 players will be selected to represent the State at the National-level, Prof. Chandrakumar added.

A poster of the tournament was released on the occasion.

Association office-bearers T. Shivaprakash, Arun Kumar, S. Girish and others were present at the press meet.
