State Minorities Commission Chairman to visit city on May 17

Mysore/Mysuru: Karnataka State Minorities Commission Chairman Abdul Azeem and Commission Secretary Mohammad Nazir will undertake a tour of the city on May 17.

Azeem and Nazir, upon their arrival, will meet Minority community leaders and other representatives on maintaining communal harmony at the ZP Hall at 11 am.

Later, they will visit Muslim Old Age Home at 1.15 pm and thereafter, Morarji Desai Residential school.

 Azeem will chair a meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office at 3.30 pm, during which he will review the progress made under the Prime Minister’s 15-point programme and other schemes of the Government meant for  welfare of minorities.

He will later hold a meeting with top Police officers of the city and district at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office at 4.30 pm, where he will discuss issues concerning communal harmony, following which he will address a press meet at 5.15 pm.

 The State Minorities Commission Chairman will returning to Bengaluru after holding the press meet.
