Mysuru’s upcoming athletes Brunda S. Gowda and Mourya Ganapathy hogged the limelight in the State Schools Athletic Meet 2019 held at Adichunchanagiri recently by bagging gold medal in the boy’s and girl’s shot-put events.

Brunda Gowda created a New Meet Record (NMR) with a throw of 12.77m and won the shot-put gold. Mourya Ganapathy won the boys shot-put gold with a NMR of 15.55m. He also won the boys discus-throw gold with a distance of 41.47m.

Laksha won the silver medal in the girls triple-jump event, while Aryan Prajwal Kashyap won the bronze medal in the boys 100m hurdles event.
