State Tourism Awards ceremony on Sept. 27

Bengaluru: For the first time, the State Tourism Department will present Karnataka Tourism Awards – 2026 to recognise achievements across hospitality, travel trade, education, visitor infrastructure and responsible tourism sectors, said Energy and Tourism Minister K.J. George, here on Tuesday.

The awards recognise quality, service, safety, guest satisfaction, cultural preservation, sustainability and innovation across accommodation, travel trade, visitor experiences, venues and supporting institutions from all 31 districts of the  State, he added.

35 awards, 5 categories

A total of 35 awards will be presented in five categories — Accommodation & Hospitality; Tour Operators & Travel Agents; Education, Publications & Individuals; Events, Venues & Infrastructure; Sustainability  & Rural Tourism.

Applications can be submitted online by visiting https://karnatakatourismawards.com before Sept. 17.

The awards will be presented during the World Tourism Day celebrations to be held in Bengaluru on Sept. 27.
