Mysore/Mysuru: Karnataka State Women’s Commission Chairperson Dr. Nagalakshmi Choudhary will undertake a two-day tour of the district on Mar.13 and 14.
Dr. Nagalakshmi who will arrive in city at 11 am tomorrow, will take part in ‘Jan Sunwayi’ programme at Chamundeshwari auditorium in Regional Commissioner’s Office here . Later, she will take part as the chief guest at the ‘Midnight Walkathon’ organised by city’s Bharat Cancer Hospital and Oncology Institute as part of International Women’s Day, in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple at the Palace North Gate at 8 pm.
On Mar.14, she will take part in “Yoga stops trafficking” programme organised by city’s NGO Odanadi at 7 am. Thereafter, she will leave for Bengaluru at 2 pm.
‘Jan Sunwayi’ meeting tomorrow
As part of International Women’s Day, the National Women’s Commission, in association with Karnataka State Women’s Commission, has organised a six-day ‘Maha Jan Sunwayi’ programme (Women’s Commission at your doorstep) from Mar. 8 to 13, a meeting of which will take place from 10 am on Mar.13 at Chamundeshwari auditorium in Regional Commissioner’s office, opposite Kalamandira on Hunsur Road. DC, City Police Commissioner, SP, ZP CEO, DHO, DDPI and other top officials of the district will take part.
