Stray cattle menace in Mysuru streets

Mysuru: If there is one lobby very powerful and strong in the country, it is the cow lobby. Hence, we see stray cattle on the road blocking the traffic with impunity.

The domestic cows are left on the roads and they move about freely hindering the movement of traffic.

Recently a stray unstable horse caused panic on Devaraj Urs Road with its strange behaviour.

However, the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has ignored this menace of the stray cattle on the roads. As a standing example, just yesterday a herd of stray cattle occupied the M.G. Road. The cars and two-wheelers were forced to negotiate the road with great difficulty.

Even if they honked, the cattle would not budge causing a traffic jam.

Exasperated a few of the motorists got down from their vehicles and shooed away the cattle. But, it hardly helped as they just moved to the next road to cause more problems.

Will the MCC do something to prevent the menace or will the citizens continue to suffer and be victims of accidents?
