Stray dog menace in residential areas

Sir,

The number of stray dogs in residential areas of Mysuru have significantly increased. It is very dangerous when they chase people on bikes. Since the schools are shut down, children are always on roads playing. It frightens me looking at the number of dogs around children on the road.

Also, a pack of dogs start barking at around midnight and create utter nuisance. Elders in the neighbourhood have complained about this menace. Hence, I urge the MCC authorities to take necessary action to control the stray dog population in residential areas and protect the citizens from dog bite.
