Stray dogs need better treatment after sterilisation

Sir,

This is regarding sterilisation of stray dogs in Mysuru. I have seen so many dogs are caught by the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) staff, sterilised in People For Animals (PFA) and left in streets without proper procedures and post-operative care.

Many of them have faced infections and were dead. Some dogs that were recently sterilised are facing a lot of problems. These dogs skip food, water and don’t eat anything. As a result, they gradually become skinny, their operated stitches open up and get infected. Finally they die.

These innocent street dogs have been treated so badly without proper post-operative care. Even when they are given treatment outside after all these, they are not surviving. Hope the MCC and PFA will look into this problem and save the animals.
