Street-lights, movable concrete barriers needed on Nelson Mandela Road

Sir,

The Nelson Mandela Road in Bannimantap happens to be the busiest road connecting the Millennium Circle (LIC Circle) and Sayyaji Rao Road. Also, many KSRTC and private vehicles speed up and down in the evenings. As this busy stretch is dark without street-lights, pedestrians have to put their lives at risk while crossing the road. It is also risky for two-wheelers to take a turn towards Hanumanthanagar or Bannimantap A Layout.

The other issue on this road is that there are many hotels and motorists try to deviate suddenly across the road to go to hotels. Hence, movable concrete median barriers may be installed from Highway Circle to LIC Circle to regulate traffic.

On behalf of travelling public, I appeal to the authorities concerned to install street-lights and movable concrete barriers to avoid accidents on this road.
