Mysore/Mysuru: The Student Forum of Sarada Vilas College was inaugurated by the dignitaries on the dais at a programme held at the Centenary Hall of the College here recently.
Vishmitha, B.Sc student, rendered invocation. Forum Vice-President S. Bheeresh welcomed. Student Yashaswini introduced theatre artiste N. Dhananjaya, who was the chief guest.
In his speech, Dhananjaya, who became nostalgic by remembering his days in College, also reminisced his first performance in 2000 as an artiste in ‘Oorubanga’ Kannada drama. He urged the students to develop individuality and for that discipline, dedication and determination should be imbibed by them.
N. Chandrashekhar, Hon. Secretary of Sarada Vilas Educational Institutions, opined that the Forum should do noteworthy programmes and recalled eminent members of the society who studied in this institution. Badges for members of the Forum were distributed by Dhananjaya who was also feted.
College Principal Dr. M. Devika presided. In her speech, she said that this Student Forum should expose the latent talents among the students, their leadership qualities and harmonious living to excel in one’s life.
Student Forum Secretary Keerthiraj proposed a vote of thanks. Keerthishri and Sushmitha compered. National Anthem was sung by the audience.
