Students apprised on entrepreneurship

Mysore/Mysuru: Seshadripuram Degree College, Mysuru, Akansha Commerce Club, Dheemahi IT Club and IQAC had organised the programme ‘Rendezvous with Entrepreneurs’ in the College Seminar Hall at 10 am on Feb. 5.

Three prominent and successful entrepreneurs Chayaa Nanjappa, Founder-Managing Partner, Nectar Fresh, Dr. Jacob Crasta, Founder-Chairman, CM Envirosystems and Murali Gundanna, Founder, Food Box, were invited as guest speakers for the session to address the final year degree students of the college.

The programme was inaugurated officially by guests lighting the lamp followed by an invocation song.

Chaaya Nanjappa at first addressed the gathering and she said Ethics, Hardwork and Quality are the three important factors that a successful entrepreneur should possess.

Further she mentioned that a responsible rural entrepreneur should not have desire for materialistic growth. 

Later, Dr. Jacob Crasta addressed the gathering in the second session and he inspired the students by sharing success stories of Bill Gates, Sachin Tendulkar and his own. 

Further, he stressed on self-interest, passion and vision as the key elements that a successful entrepreneur should gain rather than having thoughts on failures.

In the last session of the day, young successful entrepreneur Murali Gundanna addressed the gathering by sharing his success story. He remembered his grandma, friends and motivators for his success. 

Further, he said self-sustainability, focus and persistence are the three qualities that lead him towards success. 

The talks were followed by interactive sessions where students showed a lot of enthusiasm by asking wide range of questions related to entrepreneurship. 

Seshadripuram Degree College Principal Prof. K. Sowmya Erappa, Co-ordinator S. Rajashekaran and all other teaching and non-teaching faculty members were present during the event.
