Parents, cops rubbish rumours

Mysuru: The death of a student last week has triggered rumours in the social media that the boy committed suicide due to Blue Whale Challenge Game. However, student’s parents and the Police have ruled out the rumours.

Tushar (17), a 1st PU student at Deeksha PU College in city, passed away last week at JSS Hospital, where he was undergoing treatment. He was the son of Prasanna, Manager at Automotive Axles, Mysuru and a resident of Metagalli here.

Following the rumours, Metagalli Police, who spoke to the parents of Tushar, have ruled out the death due to the game. Metagalli Inspector Sunil Kumar said that he spoke to the boy’s parents who said that Tushar was suffering from Migraine (sensory disturbances followed by a severe, often one-sided headache) and was admitted to JSS Hospital, where he passed away a week ago after failing to respond to the treatment.

The Inspector said that there is no complaint or Medico-Legal Case (MLC) registered and ruled out suicide due to Blue Whale Challenge Game.
