Mysuru: More than 200 students form Maharaja PU College and other Colleges, under the banner of Bahujan Vidyarthi Sangha (BVS), staged a demonstration in front of the DC’s office here this morning.
While welcoming the coalition Government’s decision to continue free bus pass facility (2018-19) to SC/ST students, the protesters wanted the Government to cover students from all communities under the free bus pass scheme.
Maintaining that the Government’s discriminatory attitude will divide the students on caste lines, the protesters urged the Government to ensure that all needy students get free bus pass facility. BVS office-bearers Vasanth, Naveen Maurya, Ramesh Thayur and others took part.
